(00853.HK, hereinafter referred to as "MicroPort® Group"), got approvement for 5 products (Disposable hydrophilic guidewire, ureteral access sheath, stone entrapment and extraction device, nitinol stone extractor, and ureteral stent) in Brazil, Colombia and Thailand market.

Flexible ureteroscopy(FURS) is an important method for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stone. Guidewire, Stone basket and ureteral access sheath are the main products for FURS. During the procedure, placing guidewire should be the first step, and then the ureteral access sheath is used to establish a channel for ureteroscope, and the lithotripsy is performed with an energy platform such as a laser. If a larger stone fragment is encountered, a stone basket can be used to grab and move it away from the kidney. After the procedure, a ureteral stent is placed for support and drainage of the ureter.

The 4 products have been in Chinese market for more than 2 years. The hydrophilic guidewire with a nitinol inner core, and the soft hydrophilic coated tip makes it easier to pass through narrow and tortuous parts, reducing trauma, and it can be visualized under X-ray for accurate positioning. The ureteral access sheath has a special coating on the inside & outside the sheath , which can reduce friction and smooth passage. The nitinol stone extractor(stone basket) has a three-claw structure for easier grasp and relocating stones. The ureteral stent with tapered tip design and its hydrophilic coating allow smooth insertion with lower friction.

The stone entrapment and extraction device has unique umbrella-shaped membrane structure for fifitting ureteral anatomy. 2Fr tube allows to use parallel with other instruments in the ureter during RURS procedure.

The approval of registration in Brazil, Colombia and Thailand this time is an important milestone for MicroPort® Urocare to expand its overseas market.
